Step by Step - Overview

In this section, Step by Step, you will find over 40 video tutorials divided into eight groups. They introduce systematically each of the almost one hundred building blocks which together form the graphic programming language Scratch.

The study of these video tutorials in a sequential and systematic way is recommended for an introductory programming course using Scratch.

In each video tutorial you will find:

Learn and Practice

Study the tutorials sequentially using the menu items on the right. Each of the menu entries in turn will contain several individual video tutorials. They are grouped by functionality of the blocks studied. In addition, the menu structure provides the student a reference of the progress being made both in each of the 8 general areas and in the totality of the course. 

After viewing a video tutorial, practice with your own Scratch environment, reproduce the activities in the tutorial, and experiment on your own.
